Using Prezi

Throughout my young teaching career, I have relied heavily on products like Microsoft PowerPoint and Keynote to present information to my students. These products are great…they are easy to use and most people are very familiar with them.

Earlier this school year, I stumbled upon prezi through an edmodo community post (join communities on edmodo-they’re great!), and I fell in LOVE! Prezi allows me to present information in a new and engaging format, which my students appreciate!

  • teachers AND students can create a free account
  • create, save, present, and share Prezis
  • download the iPad, iPhone, or iPod Touch app to present your Prezi from your device
  • Prezi is also a Chrome app!

And…PREZI IS FREE! (Unless you want tons of storage, then you can pay a small fee)

What makes Prezi so cool? Zooming!

Your presentation does not progress slide by slide as it would using PowerPoint or Keynote. Sure, you can add neat animations to PowerPoints or Keynote, but Prezi takes transitions to a whole new level.
Users can easily embed YouTube videos into a Prezi!

Check out some Prezis I’ve made for my classes.
