Well, friends. I’m in love with a planner. Seriously. The Happy Planner is beyond fabulous … it makes being organized fun!!
As you know, I’m a technology freak. However, there’s just something about writing down goals, plans, ideas, etc., that really makes me happy. No judgments 🙂
In case you’re wondering, yes, I still use my Google Calendar … and my desk calendar at school … along with my Happy Planner because putting a goal or appointment in multiple places just makes me feel better- like there’s less of a chance that I’ll forget it! Ha!
A few months ago, while searching for the perfect planner, I researched MANY organizers -Erin Condren. Plum Paper. May Designs -when I finally found the Happy Planner.
It’s absolutely fabulous.
Here’s a little about my planner …Â
Since I bought my planner in October, I decided to spring for the 18-month version as opposed to its 12-month counterpart for obvious reasons 🙂 Of the many cover options available, my “Enjoy the Little Things” cover snagged my eye. Too often I’m caught up in getting everything done and making sure everything is perfect (except housework, of course!) that I forget to enjoy the little things … the messes on the floor and little feet poking me in the ribs in bed that I’ll miss one day.
Before I get sappy … the cover spoke to me, ok?! It’s also black and gold which is one of my favorite color combinations!
At the beginning of each month in my Happy Planner, I’m greeted with a page for important events as well as a “what’s going on right now” section to record what’s happening in the world of Bethany.
The opposite page is either an adorable design or a great saying … this month’s saying is appropriately, “don’t worry, be happy,” which is something I need to remind myself to achieve DAILY!
The monthly calendar pages are probably my favorite part of my Happy Planner! I LOVE being able to view my month-at-a-glance and include brief notes on the side. My monthly calendars have recently been decorated with sticky notes, flags, and stars from the Happy Planner collections … and it’s fabulous!!
Speaking of accessories … Happy Planner sticky notes, pens, elastic bands, paper clips, page inserts, pocket folders, and ALL of the other Happy Planner accessories are fabulous and SO MUCH FUN!
I can’t tell you how excited I am that my local Hobby Lobby (affiliate) carries the Happy Planner and accessories … it’s a daily struggle not to go in and find more cute additions for my planner!
There are tons of great inserts and additions for your Happy Planner … for fitness, recipes, wedding planning, and more. But, did you know you can MAKE your own inserts for your Happy Planner?! (The classic Happy Planner page size is 7 x 9.25) I’m starting a new devotional this year focusing on the SOAP method … have you heard of it? The focus is to dive deeper into God’s Word and learn application for your life. I am SO excited to get started! Here’s more information about the SOAP method, if you’re interested!
In prepping for this post, I decided to make my own SOAP insert for my Happy Planner. Since I LOVE including “notes” pages in the middle of my weekly calendars, I thought that would be the perfect spot for my SOAP study. Also, I’m never without my Happy Planner, so I’ll never be without my study of God’s Word! Woohoo!
If you’d like your own SOAP printable for your Happy Planner, click here to download the PDF. The PDF can be printed as an 8.5 x 11 and then trimmed down around the pink line to fit your planner! I would suggest printing it on heavier printer paper instead of cardstock … can you imagine how heavy that would become!
