Wow, this is an amazing tool! Have you tried Symbaloo?
There are so many classroom uses for this wonderful tool…but first, what is Symbaloo?
Symbaloo is a bookmarking tool that allows users to create “tiles” that link to specific websites. Users can create “webmixes,” which are similar to a board on Pinterest. The SymbalooEDU account comes with webmixes already created, including EDU Teacher, which includes categorized web resources for a variety of subjects, EDU Tools, EDU news, and Resources. These are all GREAT collections of resources for any teacher!
The best feature of Symbaloo is yet to come…..Users can create AND SHARE their webmixes through email, social media, and can even embed their content on a webpage! As teachers, sometimes we get frustrated when we have to repeat a web address over and over again. Symbaloo is the answer! Simply create a webmix with important websites and share it with your students! Voila! (Students can create their own webmixes, as well by creating a FREE account!)
Did I mention this app is available on a variety of platforms? Including Chrome?! Check out my brief instructional video of Symbaloo below:
How could you use Symbaloo with your classes? Doesn’t this sound like a perfect tool for a 1:1 classroom?
