Number three was definitely a tricky spot to fill!
Number three on my favorite tools of the year list is a favorite, not only among my students, but among my colleagues as well!
What is it, you ask?
KAHOOT!
If you haven’t tried Kahoot yet in your classroom, this is definitely a tool to add to the list.
Kahoot is a gamified student response system that allows teachers to create engaging activities and share them with their students.
Teachers simply create a FREE account, choose what type of Kahoot to create, add questions, images or videos (optional), then share the game pin with their students. Students access the game via their own device, enter the game pin and their name, and that’s it! They’re ready to play!
Kahoot is a great tool for your classroom…one that my students BEG to play!
Here’s how I use Kahoot in my classroom…
- review for quizzes/tests
- Bellringers
- formative assessment
The possibilities are ENDLESS!
What if you aren’t lucky enough to teach in a 1:1 environment?
Kahoot games can be played on multiple devices…cell phones, tablets, Chromebooks, laptops, desktops..anything with Internet access!!
This is seriously an awesome EdTech tool…give it a try this semester!
