I know you are probably thinking…another note-taking app? Really? I use Evernote or Google Docs! I don’t need anything else!

To me, Fetchnotes is a Twitter-like note-taking tool that students, teachers, or anyone can use to take notes about anything.
What makes Fetchnotes so cool? The organizational system!
Many of us, especially students, are well versed in the language of the hashtag heaven…Twitter. Fetchnotes allows users to create notes that include images (uploaded from computer, Google Drive, Dropbox, Flickr, Instagram, Facebook, and more!) and external websites. And…the best part…users organize their notes WITH HASHTAGS!
Do you need to share your notes? Simply add them to your Fetchnotes by email!
Classroom Applications
This tool may be helpful for students who have difficulty organizing their notes. Instead of using Roman numerals or a bulleted list, students can “post” their notes and “hashtag” their contributions. Hashtags can be extremely specific…like vocabulary words, important dates or individuals, or broad…like concepts, chapters, objectives, or units.
In addition to using Fetchnotes for daily note-taking tasks, students can also…
- create #test (test hashtag) that allows them to tag important material or questions that will appear on a test
- create #important to remind students of upcoming due dates or deadlines
- create #read to to remind them to read a specific article or book
- create hashtags for important concepts so that they can easily search and call up their information
