I came across this site while I was checking out the GEDB (if you haven’t yet, look at this site!), and it is simply amazing!
This site includes TONS of educational videos for specific subjects in the math and science realm…sorry humanities friends, nothing specifically for us! Hopefully new videos relating to the humanities will come soon!
If you’re interested in flipping your classroom, but aren’t totally comfortable with making your own videos, this is a great site for you! Glean has great videos in Algebra, Geometry, Chemistry, and Biology, with more resources coming for Physics, Organic Chemistry, and Calculus!
Glean’s videos would be great to use as an opening activity, or a Bellringer. Maybe a student is absent and needs to catch up? Perhaps a student is struggling in a specific area…check out a Glean video!
A REALLY neat feature of Glean is that viewers are alerted if someone else is viewing the same video. If there is another viewer, users can ask questions about the video and interact with other viewers…WOW!
If you’re a Math or Science teacher, definitely check out www.glean.co …you won’t be disappointed. English and Social Studies teachers…hopefully they’ll include something for us soon!
Thanks for reading 🙂
