Looking for an additional note taking tool for your students to use? Check out Springpad!
Springpad, much like Evernote, allows users to create notebooks and notes. UNLIKE Evernote, Springpad users can add a variety of sources including:
- Books
- Videos
- Links
- Files
- Photos
- Recipes…this would be cool for a FACS class!
- Television Shows
- Movies
- …and more!
Simply search for the desired source, and Springpad finds an image connected to it! Easy!
When media is added, users can comment on the source…see my example below!

Users can create and share notebooks in SO many ways…social media, URL, embed on websites, etc. Do you want your students to create a collaborative project? Simply add collaborators to the notebook!
Notebooks can be customized with colors and fonts, and can include uploaded images as the cover!
This would be a neat tool to use at the beginning of the year to introduce the course, or even for students to use to introduce themselves.
Springpad could also be used as a digital portfolio tool?
The “Clipper” extension is also great. Simply drag the button to your browser’s bookmark bar, and select the button any time you want to add a website to your notebook. Cool!
Check it out! It’s free!
