Waaay back in the day, when I was in elementary school, I vividly remember journaling. My teacher would pose a prompt, or give us a “free writing day,” we would respond to the prompt in our spiral bound notebook journal. I LOVED reading the comments that my teacher included whenever he would grade our journals!
There are many tools teachers could use to “techify” this activity, with Google Docs popping first into my mind.
Some students and teachers, however, desperately want to cling to that image of lined notebook paper. And that’s ok!
Students and teachers can create a FREE Penzu account…Penzu is even a Chrome app! Students can access Penzu on multiple devices, and can create, edit, and share their content via email…readers can comment on Penzu entries as well!
Users can choose the font and color of their entries…which are created on LINED PAPER!
So, if you’re looking for a way for your students to journal in class, or to even encourage them to write out of class…check out Penzu!
Thanks for reading 🙂
