Many people do not typically associate terms like “twitter” and “tweeting” with educational technology. However, twitter can be used for educational purposes, and BY teachers!
I recently joined the world of twitter….not for social purposes, but to be more connected with the trends in education. I’ve found tweets about awesome articles relating to the Common Core, educational technology, and SO much more that RELATES TO EDUCATION!

Twitter can also be used in the classroom in a variety of ways. Many schools are VERY strict about students, teachers, and social media. However, it can be used for educational purposes…and it’s a way to communicate with students, to keep them connected to learning, even when they’re out of the classroom.
